James Cohan Gallery

James Cohan Gallery was founded by James Cohan in 1999 in New York City. The gallery was established to present contemporary art from a diverse range of artists, including Spencer Finch, Trenton Doyle Hancock, and Elias Sime. In 2015, the gallery opened a second location in New York’s Lower East Side, expanding its reach and influence. James Cohan Gallery’s focus on innovative and culturally relevant art has made it a significant player in the New York art scene, inspiring other galleries to adopt a more inclusive and dynamic approach to their programming.
